OUR HISTORY
The Norcross-Madagascar Group was established in 1991 and has been a leading in the minerals trade.
In 2004, Gem Surfaces® a part of the group, specialized in the manufacture of gemstone surfaces was established. Gem Surfaces® offers more than 30 varieties of gemstone slabs from its own quarries and factory, both located in Madagascar.
Labradorite Blocks is one of the Norcross-Madagascar Group quarries in Madagascar. There, a division of the group called Norcross Exploration and Exploitation Sarl owns and operates this quarry since 2000. The Labradorite quarry is located in Maniry, Tulear - Madagascar.
In 2011, a joint venture between Yuan Shi Kuang Ye Gongsi Sarl and Norcross Exploration and Exploitation Sarl extend the exploitation of this Labradorite quarry and start the Block extraction.
Today, hundreds of tons of Labradorite Blocks per year are shipped around the world.
